Arrested for not giving up her seat in the 1950’s to a white woman at age 15, even before the defiance by Rosa Parks. A civil rights-pioneer and retired-nurse aid, she failed to gain her recognition or attention because she fell pregnant in her teens and didn’t have “good hair” or “fair skin.” We believe she is beautiful and this arrangement features stunning earth tones and beautiful textures, in a modern and sleek, curved ceramic vessel. Simple, stylish design that plays on symmetry, she’s understated but big on impact and not to be forgotten.
